National Zoological Park

“ELEPHANT TRAILS”

Quatrefoil worked with the Smithsonian’s National Zoo to develop a master plan for a new, four-acre expanded habitat for up to eight Asian elephants and indoor and outdoor viewing and interpretation areas. Quatrefoil then designed and fabricated the “Elephant Trails” outdoor pavilion featuring multimedia and mechanical interactive experiences that help raise visitor awareness of conservation issues that impact Asian elephants.
