National Museum of the American Indian

Quatrefoil partnered with the museum’s project team to create dynamic learning and activity spaces in 2005 and again in 2011. The first collaboration was the “Paawats Family Activity Room” where created a hands-on and visually stimulating area with touchable objects, activity boxes, matching games, audio listening stations, a weaving area and large reproductions of original art. In 2011, Quatrefoil designed a gallery where visitors are encouraged to make connections between Native American culture and geographic environments. The tactile and kinesthetic experiences include experiments with snowshoes, a “Quiz Show” trivia game, igloo-building and stilt and adobe structures.
