Three cheers! Congratulations to Senior Designer Auburn Leigh, who has been promoted to Associate at Quatrefoil. Auburn joined the team in 2021, bringing two decades of experience in graphic and exhibit design. A skilled collaborator and problem solver, Auburn was the lead designer at several notable firms and the creative engine behind popular exhibitions like You are Here: California Stories on the Map at the Oakland Museum of California. She spent several years developing exhibitions there and credits the institution with teaching her the nuances of project management and true collaboration. “It brought together the creative, intellectual, and community aspects of design work. I learned to collaborate with an internal team but also to bring community partners into the fold—that still informs my work today.”
This deep-rooted commitment to co-creation is a hallmark of Auburn’s work at Quatrefoil, where she focuses on building meaningful experiences that connect people with each other, with place, and with stories. Over the last few years, she’s been the creative lead on incredibly diverse projects that explore everything from Civil War history to the “Wonders of Water” and imaginative theater spaces at Port Discovery in Baltimore.
