Dear friends and colleagues,
We are going through an event that is unprecedented in our lifetimes and across our industry. The aftereffects of this pandemic — physical, financial, emotional, cultural — are going to be felt for years to come.
Quatrefoil has taken several important steps in response to the situation and in order to comply with national guidelines and state directives. Our team has responded with great determination to continue to provide our visitor experience services — planning and design, multimedia and interactives, fabrication.
We’re addressing what are likely to be new challenges for institutions and their audiences in the months and years ahead. We’re researching and testing approaches, techniques and technologies that we expect will be crucial to addressing issues related to distancing, timed entry, visitor flow, applications of interactive technologies, and more.
In this, we’re fortunate to be able to draw on the unique expertise and experience of our leadership team. For example, our Design Director Michael Burns has been exploring relevant issues tied to ubiquitous museology and how institutions can take visitor experiences beyond their walls for years in his Omnimuseum Project.
Most importantly, we’re communicating with our colleagues, clients and collaborators about their assessments of the critical questions the museum industry is going to face as we begin adapting towards a new generation of museums.
If you have questions about how Quatrefoil can help you address current or anticipated issues, please contact us. In the meantime, we’ll be sharing our findings with all of you. We invite you to sign up for our e-newsletter.
We are listening, thinking, engaging and acting. Together, we’ll meet these new challenges.
